Located in the north-west portion of Morne Trois Pitons National Park, the Middleham Falls is a hiker’s favorite. It is one of the island’s tallest waterfalls with a narrow stream dropping about 275 ft. from a keyhole notch in the lip of the cliff. After some sidling towards the end of Middleham Falls, find a perfect spot for swimming. Pause here and brace yourself for a chilly dip!
As one descends to the fall, an intriguing misty spray envelope the atmosphere around visitors. Middleham is considered an intermediate hike and can be accessed via the villages of Cochrane on the west, or Laudat in the Roseau Valley. A section of Segment 4 of the Waitukubili National Trail traverses the Middleham area. Some features of the trail site include bats, tree frogs, Yanga Palms and a variety of birds.
