Renown for having 365 rivers; it is said, one river for each day of the year… Dominica, also known as “The Nature Island of the Caribbean” is the perfect playground for nature lovers. From discovering some of the most fascinating hiking trails to observing a resident family of Sperm Whales on an exciting whale watching excursion… or simply enjoying a relaxing soak in one of the island’s many natural pools of warm mineral spring water … Dominica’s unspoiled beauty surpasses many of her neighboring sister islands, offering a wide range of outdoor activities, enjoyed by both residents and visitors worldwide.
Nevertheless, to vacation here and never scheduling some fun time on one of the island’s many pristine flowing rivers would be almost absurd. So why not start with the discovery of the Layou River (Dominica’s longest river) with Wacky Rollers… Your adventure begins aboard a shuttle (optional as many stayover visitors rents cars and meet us on site), which transports you to the scenic countryside of Layou, to an entry point higher up the Layou River. Geared up with your helmet, life vest and paddle, jump onto your river tube, and ride the rolling streams along the watercourse.
The watercourse is engulfed within the island’s captivating ecosystem. Soak in some sunshine and marvel at sightings of exotic birds and beautiful tropical plants and trees. An attentive crew of enthusiastic and informative guides is always with you, sparing no effort to provide you with a safe and fun tubing experience.
